On January 7, NOAA’s Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory (GLERL) dedicated its new facility located approximately 4 miles from the center of town, at 4840 South State Road, Ann Arbor, MI. The 40,225 square feet facility contains state-of-the-art wet and dry laboratories, conference facilities, a library, a marine instrumentation shop and a host of offices to accommodate over 100 federal and cooperative institute employees.

GLERL's mission of Ecosystem Forecasting requires multidisciplinary research in collaboration with many federal, state and private entities. This facility will not only accommodate the space that GLERL needs to conduct its research but will also provide a forum to foster collaboration with the Great Lakes community.
