Vanderploeg" Subject: Lake Guardian Preparations Cc: ruberg@genie.glerl.noaa.gov EEGLE PIs, The Lake Guardian is soon to be laid up for winter. Because of this and special limitations of winter operations during our Lake Guardian Pilot Survey cruise (February 1-14), Kelli Jenkens of EPA has asked that we define the needs of our proposed winter work on the Lake Guardian ASAP so they can accommodate these needs before shutting down operations in the coming weeks. Our cruise will be the first of the new year, and no one will be able to work on these changes during the shut-down interval. Please coordinate your needs through me by e-mail, and I will see that Kelli gets this information. A description of the Guardian and its facilities can be found on the EEGLE web page. For those of you who have not been on the Lake Guardian, it will be in Bay City, Michigan, for a few weeks before it goes to Milwaukee. Perhaps this would be a good time for us to coordinate a trip to check out its facilities. Do let me know if you're interested in such a trip. PLEASE GET ALL REQUESTS TO ME BY TUESDAY AFTERNOON (OCTOBER 22).
