everyone, the laurentian crew has been asking me some specifics about our
proposed survey/process/lagrangain cruises. Two questions need to be answered: 1) are there any
specific dietary requirements that need to be addressed by the Laurentian
cook? 2) can Tom Johengen and Jim Cotner learn how to use the CTD during
the first leg of the March/April cruise and then serve as the CTD masters
for the other two legs?  The reason for the second question is that we are
maxed out on bunks on the second and third legs and do not have the luxury
of taking a CTD tech. out.  take care
