Naturally, I am very interested in this topic. We have most of the basic
issues worked out here with regard to the model configuration etc., but
I still need to know which variables will be needed, how the data could
be delivered efficiently etc. etc.

Sounds like a good idea. The modeling work for KITES involves a
real-time component; the modeling work for EEGLE may or may not rely on
that (case study approach is the other option for focused periods of
interest). I would like to coordinate between the 2 projects as much as
possible.

Thanks, Dave! I am learning a few things too about how not to be
outfoxed by jumpy forecast models at longer ranges!
