Eadie" Subject: EEGLE-KITES1999 Ship time - ACTION UNOLS needs a first estimate of our requests for Laurentian time - to me by Wednesday, I'll organize and send EEGLE requests on to Linda Goad - see her message to me below. KITEs folk should work through Sarah Green. EEGLE should plan on having approximately 70 days (3-4 cruises) of Lake Guardian time. At this time we need only whatever Laurentian time that you might require. My assumption is that it's better to ask now for anything you MAY want than try to add on later. I need an estimate from you (maybe guesstimate) of the ship time request that will be going into UNOLS. Jack Bash called from UNOLS last week and has a meeting that involves NOAA on the 5th, and needs some preliminary figures. Just give an estimate of the number of science days. Let me figure in weather, loading, and transit. Brian, I'm asking (for myself) for 2 days per week during the plume. Let's assume that will be 16 days, plus 4 for the fall for coring work. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Brian J.
