Mime-Version: 1.0 Date: Tue, 11 Apr 2000 13:51:17 -0400 To: eegle-all@wings.glerl.noaa.gov From: Greg Lang Subject: April Plume Event - more images and preliminary data Dave Schwab has compiled a few more satellite images of the ongoing April plume. There are 3 NOAA-14 AVHRR Channel 1 images and 11 GOES-8 images. See the Plume Images page, http://www.glerl.noaa.gov/eegle/resources/plume_images/. In addition, Lorelle Meadows just sent me some preliminary results from the UM Met buoy for April 4-10. I've added them (3 page pdf file) to her Project Page, http://www.glerl.noaa.gov/eegle/projects/p04/p04.html. The UM Met buoy is located at (42 deg 06.85', 86 deg 32.54', see http://www.glerl.noaa.gov/eegle/cruises/moor-2000-063.gif). Incidently, Lorelle's wave heights compare well with those recorded at the Chicago wave gage: http://sandbar.wes.army.mil/public_html/pmab2web/htdocs/il001/2000/ch1_0004.gif Cheers, Greg
