Mike McCormick went along to help guide the pilot and serve as backup pilot in case of an emergency. Thanks to Jay - he did an excellent job. Thanks too to Mike for braving the elements and contributing to some fantastic shots. Dave Schwab is currently digitizing the negatives we received from the pilot. I've posted one such image on Mike's Project Page, http://www.glerl.noaa.gov/eegle/projects/p03/p03.html This image was taken on 4/11/2000 at an elevation of 3615' and a heading of 330 degrees (NNW). The location is 42 25.19', 86 37.35'. The width of the image represents about 3600'. The offshore extension of the plume appears to the left in the photograph. See http://www.glerl.noaa.gov/eegle/resources/plume_images/00plume-apr.html for the NOAA-14 reflectance image. Cheers, Greg
