The focus of the meeting will be synthesis of results and conclusions in the two systems. We plan preliminary presentation of special-issue papers to be used as a starting point for colloborative publications. Location The meeting will take place on the MTU campus; it is walking distance from downtown hotels. I have blocked hotel rooms in two hotels for Aug 19-23. Tell them it's for the KITES/EEGLE group. 1. Super 8 (35 rooms blocked). There are several flights per day from either Detroit or Minneapolis. May also be convenient to fly into: Marquette MI: 2 h drive Ironwood, MI: 2 h Misc: We have fabulous weather in August. There are several nearby state parks, many local beaches (Portage Lake and Superior), and lots of hiking trails.
