Date: Tue, 12 Jun 2001 13:17:16 -0400 To: eegle-pi@wings.glerl.noaa.gov From: Greg Lang Subject: Correction to EEGLE thermister data EEGLErs, An EEGLE PI, who shall remain nameless, realized that he/she submitted some EEGLE thermister (1999-2000) data that had an error in the timestamp. This spineless individual begged me not to reveal his/her identity. While I wouldn't normally honor such a cowardly request, the sobs and wails finally got to me. It turns out that this individual had a little trouble with the Calendar to Day of Year conversion. Luckily, my 4 year old was able to help him/her. The new/corrected data files are at: http://www.glerl.noaa.gov/eegle/data/1999-00/therm_mccormick/TZS-4M-1999.txt http://www.glerl.noaa.gov/eegle/data/1999-00/therm_mccormick/TZS-7M-1999.txt http://www.glerl.noaa.gov/eegle/data/1999-00/therm_mccormick/TZS-8M-1999.txt http://www.glerl.noaa.gov/eegle/data/1999-00/therm_mccormick/TZS-9M-1999.txt http://www.glerl.noaa.gov/eegle/data/1999-00/therm_mccormick/TZS-10M-1999.txt http://www.glerl.noaa.gov/eegle/data/1999-00/therm_mccormick/TZS-12M-1999.txt http://www.glerl.noaa.gov/eegle/data/1999-00/therm_mccormick/TZS-14M-1999.txt These new files correctly start at DOY 154; while the old files started at DOY 153. Please don't read anything into the fact that these files are stored in a directory called "therm_mccormick". That name was created by a random letter generator and it is merely a coincidence that it resembles the name of an EEGLE PI. Regards, Greg
