X-Attachments: ./2002/KITES_EEGLE_ms_list.doc Hello KITES/EEGLE, I have just received the long-awaited official confirmation that our proposed special issue of JGR-Oceans has been approved. John Klinck will be our JGR editor; I will act as the primary guest editor, with assistance from Rich Garvine, Marie Bundy, and Matt Julius. I am very excited to finally see this process get going. I think we can put together a very nice set of papers for the first joint KITES/EEGLE opus. Authors: In order to make a reasonable cost estimate I would appreciate the following information: 1. Do you plan a submission to this issue? Please check the attached ms list and inform me of any changes. 2. Are you likely to want any color pages? (how many?) Manuscripts should submitted directly to AGU according to instructions on the inner cover of JGR-Oceans. Please identify the paper as being part of the KITES/EEGLE special section and list John Klinck as the editor handling the paper. Although the official word has been slow in coming, I'm hoping everyone has manuscripts in hand and ready to go. Send them on!
