Michigan X-Attachments: ../projects/p08/HISTST1.xls Status: RO Hello All, The attached EXCEL files include the start dates for the stratified and unstratified periods in the Northern and Southern Basins of Lake Michigan from 1980 to the present. Water temperature data collected and archived from NDBC buoys 45007 (42.67N, 87.02W) and 45002 (45.33N, 86.42W) was used to find the appropriate dates. The unstratified period began when the surface water dropped below 5.0 degrees celsius and the stratified period began when the water warmed to above 5.0 degrees C. For any years when the buoys were pulled before the water had dropped below 5.0 degrees, the date indicates when the buoy was pulled and the water temp at that time. Feel free to email me if you have any questions. Andy
