| Feb 1 - Feb 15 | Need a larger oceanographic ship from UNOLS or NOAA (including option of NOAA subsidizing the EPA RV Lake Guardian--must be requested | Pre-plume: Survey and limited Process Studies | 8 | 8-10 |
| Mar 15 - Apr 15 | Need a larger oceanographic ship from UNOLS or NOAA--must be requested | Plume Event: Survey, Process Studies, and Lagrangian Studies | 21 | 10-14 |
| May 15 - Jun 15 | Need a larger oceanographic ship from UNOLS or NOAA--must be requested | Post Plume Event: Survey, Process Studies, and Lagrangian Studies | 21 | 10-14 |
| Aug 1 - 31 | Need a larger oceanographic ship from UNOLS or NOAA--must be requested | Summer Contrast: Survey, Process Studies, and Lagrangian Studies | 21 | 10-14 |
For each of the other 8 months not listed above, a smaller ship (possibly the Laurentian) is needed to handle monitoring studies at GLERL 45m and 110m stations and Station A in the moored array box. Each cruise would require 2 days and 2 scientific personnel.
Notes: These are tentative cruise plans and may change to better meet program and scientific objectives. These plans were developed by PI's from the proposals of Fahnenstiel et al., Cotner et al., Vanderploeg et al., and Gardner et al. but have also been reviewed and revised by Brian Eadie to include the needs of PI's from the sediment resuspension and transport proposals. Additional transit days required to bring ships into or out of desired ports of origin have NOT been figured into number of science days.
