Cambridge Scientific Abstracts

CSA databases offer information in the following subject areas: Aquatic Sciences, Biological & Medical Sciences, Environmental Sciences and Pollution Management.

Includes:

  • Aquatic Sciences & Fisheries Abstracts (ASFA)
    International bibliography of science, technology and management of marine, brackish, and freshwater environment and organisms from 1978 to present.
  • Environmental Sciences & Pollution Management (ESPM)
    A multidisciplinary database providing comprehensive coverage of the environmental sciences. Abstracts and citations are drawn from over 4000 scientific journals and thousands of other sources including conference proceedings, reports, monographs, books and government publications. Includes databases such as Ecology Abstracts, Toxicology Abstracts and Water Resources Abstracts.

OCLC First Search
The OCLC FirstSearch service provides access to several databases in numerous subject areas, including: FactSearch, Dissertation Abstracts, Article First, Basic BIOSIS, and Books in Print. 

Access to FirstSearch is provided by the Library of Michigan and is limited to residents of the State of Michigan.

AGRICOLA
AGRICOLA (AGRICultural Online Access) includes records encompassing all aspects of agriculture and allied disciplines, including plant and animal sciences, forestry, entomology, soil and water resources, agricultural economics, agricultural engineering, agricultural products, alternative farming practices, and food and nutrition.

Publication of the USGS
This database provides access to the publications of the USGS and includes references to USGS reports and maps published from 1880 to present. It also provides references to non-USGS publications with USGS authors published from 1983 to date. Publications of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is a subset of the GeoRef database established by the American Geological Institute.

PubMed
The PubMed search system provides access to information drawn primarily from MEDLINE and PREMEDLINE. MEDLINE is the National Library of Medicine's (NLM) premier bibliographic database covering the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, and the pre-clinical sciences. Medline is available through CSA and on OCLC FirstSearch under the Medicine & Health Sciences area.
