GLERL Scientists Receive NOAA Administrator's Award

Congratulations to Drs. Peter Landrum and Thomas Croley



GLERL Director Dr. Stephen Brandt takes great pleasure in announcing that two GLERL scientists will be receiving the NOAA Administrator's Award this year. This award recognizes employees who have made substantial contributions to NOAA. Drs. Landrum and Croley will be honored with plaques, and $5,000 stipend awards at a special ceremony in Washington D.C.


Dr. Peter Landrum is recognized for his significant research achievements and leadership in aquatic toxicology and assessment of the behavior, fate and effects of sediment-associated contaminants and their interactions with the food web. His substantial contributions and superb productivity have made NOAA-GLERL a nationally and internationally recognized leader in research on aquatic contaminants.


Dr. Thomas Croley is recognized for significant research achievements leading to the development, advancement and application of advanced hydrological and lake level predictions for the Great Lakes and their connecting channels to improve water resource management and to promote public awareness. His work at NOAA is widely recognized and respected throughout the national and international water resource community.
