Finland

Finnish scientists have collaborated with GLERL researchers on a variety of projects focusing on sediment contaminants. Dr. Jussi Kukkonen spent a year in residence at GLERL as a visiting scientist. As part of the Environmental Radiotracers program, GLERL researchers have examined a sediment core from Lake Ladoga, a major lake in Russia near the border with Finland.
