Profile: Epiphyte on filamentous algae. Solitary or colonial with young individuals retained on the exterior of the parent lorica. Loricas tubular and attached by the sides. Scales of the lorica bent outward giving the lorica a toothed appearance at high magnification. Cells with 2 unequal flagella.
