Click on a sampling location on the map to view its data below. Data points labeled as "Non-Detectable" indicate a Microcystin sample that measured less than 0.1 μg/L.
We also have included data collected on Chlorophyll a concentrations, water temperature sampled via a hand thermometer, and secchi depth.
For 2015, samples were taken at up to 4 depths with respect to their sampling location's column depth: surface scum, surface, bottom for sites WE 2, 6, 8, 12, and 13, and for WE13, mid-column. Surface scum covers the very top of the column, surface is approximately 0.75 m deep, bottom is 1 m off the bottom of the lake, and mid-column is half-way between the surface and bottom measurement's depths. Surface, mid-column, and bottom depths are represented in the columns of charts below.
WHO Recommended Guidelines (for reference)
Drinking water = 1µg/L
Low risk recreational = 2-4µg/L
Moderate risk recreational - 20µg/L
High risk recreational = avoid visible scums
Particulate and Dissolved Microcystins have different vertical axis ranges
