Cruise: Sed-1998-114. Apr 24 - 28, 1998. Sediment Cruise aboard the R/V Laurentian. EEGLE Scientists sampling Lake Michigan sediments using a box core, extruding a sub-sample taken from a box core, and monitoring a large volume TSM sample.

Cruise: Surv-1998-028. Jan 28 - Feb 6, 1998. Initial Survey Cruise aboard the R/V Lake Guardian (EPA/GLNPO). EEGLE scientists working in the nutrients lab and monitoring PSS operation.

Towed Plankton Survey System (PSS). The PSS underwater assembly includes the Focal Technologies Mini-Optical Plankton Counter (OPC), the Ocean Sciences OS-200 CTD with X-Y tilt sensor, and a Chelsea Aquatracka III fluorometer mounted on an Endeco/YSI Type 493 V-fin.
